Building an AI automation agency from logo to live website — entirely from scratch

ZAEL Agency is an AI automation studio based in the Netherlands, helping modern businesses streamline their operations through custom automation and smart AI integrations. When they came to WebRay, they had nothing — no logo, no visual identity, no website, no digital presence at all. WebRay handled the entire project from the ground up: brand identity including logo, colour, and typography, through to full UI/UX design and Framer development. The site launched in Dutch, complete with a fully managed CMS for blogs, case studies, and projects built to scale as the business grows.

Challenges

Creating a credible brand in a space full of noise

The AI automation market is one of the most crowded and overhyped spaces right now. Every competitor promises the future. Most look the same — generic gradients, robotic imagery, and headlines full of words that mean nothing. ZAEL needed to cut through that without falling into the same traps. The challenge was building a brand that felt genuinely credible and trustworthy to business decision-makers — people who are sceptical by default and need to trust a partner before they hand over their processes. On top of that, the client had a clear preference for something classic and intuitive. Finding the balance between their instincts and the positioning the brand actually needed was a conversation that ran through the entire project.

Approach

Strategy first, aesthetics second

The work started with the brand foundation — understanding what ZAEL needed to communicate, who they were speaking to, and how to stand apart from an industry that tends to look and sound the same. The logo direction went through a deliberate process. The client preferred a classic feel and we respected that, while working to convince them that the brand's positioning in the AI space required something with more forward momentum — a mark that felt modern and considered without chasing trends. We found the right balance together through honest back and forth. The visual identity followed from there — colour, typography, and a design language built to feel authoritative and approachable at the same time. The website was then designed around that identity, with a clean structure that made ZAEL's services, case studies, and blog content easy to navigate and easy to manage. Everything was built on Framer with a full CMS setup so the team could add content independently from day one.

Results

ZAEL launched with a complete identity and a website built to grow with the business. The brand feels credible, clear, and distinctly its own — not another AI agency that looks like every other AI agency. The CMS-driven architecture means blogs, case studies, and project pages can be added and updated without developer involvement, keeping the site fresh and content-rich over time. Most importantly, ZAEL now has a digital presence that gives business clients an immediate reason to trust them — which in the AI automation space is the hardest thing to build and the most valuable thing to have.

A brand that stands on its own in a crowded market
